Janice Thomas Owalabibio cont'd
Janice has demonstrated her abilities to create customized solutions that meet the needs of her clients. Her expertise is in recruitment, sales, consulting, business development and
relationship management.
Janice began her business career as a Systems Engineer in St. Louis, Missouri. She later relocated with IBM to Houston,
Texas where she continued with her career at IBM. Janice was promoted to several key positions during her 18 years at IBM.
She became an advisory technical sales representative and was identified as one of the major players in helping to form the IBM Global Services
midrange services team in 1995. She was instrumental in identifying the right IBM talent to help position the company for the new services venture.
Her responsibilities also included recruiting new employees into the company by attending IT Tech Expos that IBM Global Services hosted on college campuses across the country.

Janice became the Southwest Region Growth Manager and was key in the development
of the business model of hiring contract workers where skill gaps existed.
She formed relationships with outside recruiting and contracting companies to help identify and build
a talent pipeline for the Southwest region.
Janice is a graduate of the University of Kansas, where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. She is very involved in her community as a board member of Reach
of Across Houston, a non-profit organization focusing on encouraging, supporting, and providing academic, social and financial empowerment, and spiritual awareness through supportive
training and technical assistance to the Greater Houston. She is also on the Advisory Board of Fort Bend ALERT (Abstinence Leadership, Education, & Resources for Teens).
Her interests include traveling with her family, gardening and reading. She, her husband and two sons reside in Sugar Land, Texas.
