He is one of a very small number of people certified by the by the American Board of Professional Psychology as a
Diplomate in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. This represents the highest and most rigorous level of examination and certification in the profession.
He is a founding partner and President of Management Psychology Group, a consultancy with a broad base of national clients.
The firm specializes in executive selection and development, selection systems development and validation, survey research and general organizational psychology consultation.
Dr. Golson's undergraduate degree from Georgia Tech was in Industrial Management. He earned Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Social Psychology from Georgia State University.
Before entering graduate school, he was a US Army officer and a marketing representative for IBM.

He and his two partners founded Management Psychology Group in 1986 and a sister company,
eTest, in 1997. He is a member of many professional organizations, including the Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology and the Division of Consulting Psychology of the
American Psychological Association.
He and his wife reside in Atlanta and are the parents of three daughters. His outside interests include painting, furniture design, windsurfing, water gardening, music and exercise
(running, weight training and Pilates). He writes occasional articles for business publications, actively promotes his daughtersÕ art/design careers and plays an incredibly bad game of golf.
